11/20/2023(Mon) 10am-12pm: Mushroom Love Felting Workshop for 10-14 year old by LeBrie Rich
Learn to felt a woodland world of wool mushrooms. This is an easy and fun first felting experience for beginners. The style of these mushrooms is completely up to you - will they be realistic morels, or the rainbow mushrooms favored by unicorns? At the end of this class you'll be equipped with the skills to do all sorts of needle felting projects.
Finished product: 2-3 felted mushrooms. With an optional string, these can be ornaments.
Skills learned: sculpting simple shapes, blending colors of wool, getting a smooth finish on the felt, selecting needles and fibers for your projects.

LeBrie Founded in 2004 by artist and felting instructor LeBrie Rich. Known to some as Duchess of Felt, LeBrie is best known for her highly realistic sculptures of food packaging rendered in felt.
LeBrie has taught workshops at colleges, art studios, and fiber festivals all over the world—from a small village in the mountains of Japan to New York City. In addition to custom work for private clients, LeBrie has worked with Bent Image Lab, Nike, and a sustainable diaper manufacturer who needed a presentation box made out of felt for Kate Middleton (the Duchess of Cambridge).
